ALTER TECHNOLOGY offers in cooperation with the TÜViT the TSI.PROFESSIONAL training in Madrid on March and April 2022!

About the TSI.PROFESSIONAL Training

TSI.PROFESSIONAL training teaches all necessary information regarding the evaluation and certification of data centers physical security and availability according to Trusted Site Infrastructure (TSI) in the context of the EN 50600.

The training program is directed at data centre designers, data centre advisors, general contractors, and architects dealing with the design and construction of high available data centres.

However, this training can also be used by operators and users of mission-critical infrastructures as an educational measure or for comprehending design concepts of third parties.

Additionally, TÜViT offers an optional exam, and if certain conditions are met, TÜViT will award a TSI.PROFESSIONAL status with the successful completion of the exam, which will be valid for two years.

 

Objective

You will get a good overview of the structure, application and differences between the TSI.STANDARD and the TSI.EN50600. Our trainers will respond to each participant's questions individually.

The training shall enable the participants to

  • understand the TSI methods,
  • correctly interpret the TSI evaluation and certification scheme,
  • apply the criteria catalogues in practice and
  • align the design in a compliant manner.

The participants can complete the training with an optional examination and, if they fulfil specifically defined requirements, will gain a TSI.PROFESSIONAL status.

 

Contents

Theoretical part:

  • general introduction to the TSI inspection and certification programs
  • documentation requirements
  • importance, contents and structure of a security concept and a risk analysis
  • overview of assessment aspects, requirements and criteria in the context of DIN EN 50600
  • the certification process, the key questions on data centre certification
  • processes during assessment/certification projects
  • the correct interpretation of the planning evaluation report and the certification report

Practical part:

  • typical supply concepts according to TSI.STANDARD and TSI.EN50600
  • deeper insights into the assessment areas of the criteria catalogue
  • practical exercises and examples on individual trades
  • typical stumbling blocks requiring special attention

 

Target group

  • data center designers and data center advisors
  • general contractors
  • architects dealing with the design and construction of high available data centres
  • operators and users of mission-critical infrastructures

 

Test and TSI.PROFESSIONAL status

Within the training, TÜViT offers to take an optional test. The questions refer to the training contents. The test will be considered passed if at least 80% of the questions are correct.

TÜViT will award a TSI.PROFESSIONAL status if the customer or the training participant meets the following requirements:

  1. assignment of the optional test
  2. participation in the two-day TSI.PROFESSIONAL training
  3. at least three years of relevant professional experience within a data centre environment (as a data centre planner, data centre advisor, data centre operator or similar); a résumé (with respective proof of qualification and experience) must be submitted
  4. successful completion of the test at the end of the training The status will be valid for 24 months and can be extended by another 24 months by participating in a one-day TSI.UPDATE training.

 

About the TSI.STANDARD and the EN 50600

The TSI.STANDARD and the EN 50600 have an evaluation scheme in which four levels of protection requirements/availability of the installation are identified, from Level 1, the lowest, to Level 4, the highest possible. For each level, requirements corresponding to the following areas are considered:

  • ENV: Environment
  • CON: Construction
  • FIR: Fire Protection, Alarm & Extinguishing Systems
  • SEC: Security System & Organization
  • CAB: Cabling
  • POW: Power Supply
  • ACV: Air Conditioning & Ventilation
  • ORG: Organization
  • DOC: Documentation
  • DDC: Dual Site Data Center
